Hawaii residents back anti-smoking efforts

More than nine of 10 Hawaii residents consider it important to continue using the state’s tobacco settlement money for smoking-cessation programs and to reduce smoking among minors, according to a new survey. Kansas ranks 39th in the nation when it comes to funding tobacco prevention programs. “States like Kansas are not investing in comprehensive tobacco prevention and smoking cessation programs.
